Interview with Hailey Edwards

I’ve got an interview for you all today with Hailey Edwards.  She is an urban fantasy and fantasy romance author who has published twenty-two books to date.  Her series include the Black Dog and Gemini series, Daughters of Askara, Araneae Nation, and Wicked Kin.

Below, you can read more about Hailey.  There is also a giveaway opportunity and after that I’ve got details about the first novel in her Gemini series, Dead in the Water.  Be sure to check it out!

Do you have pets? If so, what kind and do they help you write your books?

I have two dachshunds. A boy and a girl, Lex and Cookie. They each have beds on either sides of my desk, and their snores are the music I listen to while I’m writing. They also remind me to do things like eat (when I feed them) and drink (when I top off their water) and step outside into the sunshine (when they need walking) once in a while.

Name a few of the TV shows you like to watch.

Netflix is my soulmate. I binge like crazy between projects. Right now I’m watching Wynonna Earp on Syfy, but before that it was Jessica Jones, Property Brothers, and Fixer Upper.

What is the weirdest food you’ve ever eaten?

Escargot. When I was sixteen, my family went on a fancy-pants cruise. We got served snail at dinner one night, and my dad dared me to eat one. I agreed—as long as he tried one too. We got them down, but later we both had SO many regrets.

If money were no object, what kind of car would you get?

Welllll, I bought my very first ever new car about six months ago. It’s a Chevy Trax, and it’s the baby SUV I never knew I needed to complete me. If money were no object, I wouldn’t mind making that payment go away… Plus my daughter is sixteen and keeps trying to steal it. So if I was rolling in dough, I’d buy her a candy blue one so she would leave mine alone.

Name a mystical creature you wish you could have as a pet.

What?! How is this a question? A pegasus, of course!

What is your favorite outdoor activity?

Does reading on my back porch swing count as an outdoor activity?

Thanks so much, Hailey.  It’s great to have you here today!  I’m happy to discover another Wynonna Earp fan since that is an awesome show and I was glad to hear that it got renewed.  It deserves at least a few seasons.  As for escargot, I’ll let you keep that “tasty” experience!

A cupcake enthusiast and funky sock lover possessed of an overactive imagination, Hailey lives in Alabama with her handcuff-carrying hubby, her fluty-tooting daughter and their herd of dachshunds.
